Well, not much other than a box of pens and markers that you find on your doorstep! I was asked to review some BIC products for Shoplet.com. Of course I said yes! What teacher dosen't love pens and markers?? The products that I was asked to review were BIC Wite-Out EZ Correct Correction Tape, BIC Mark-it Grip Permanent Marker Set, BIC Velocity Roller Ball Retractable Gel Pen, BIC Atlantis Ballpoint Retractable Pen and Bic for Her Retractable Ballpoint Pen.
I was already a fan of the Mark-it Grip Markers. I've used these all year on my anchor charts. I like the fine tip of the markers. The markers do bleed on thin chart paper, so I make sure that I have a scrap paper between the two clean sheets before using.
I loved the Wite-Out correction tape! My school purchases the liquid white-out that I hate to use. I don't have the patience for the liquid to dry. I always try to write too soon and the liquid ends up on the tip of my pen. The correction tape was easy to use. BIC has made a groove for your thumb so you know exactly how to hold it. The tape is more expensive than the liquid but well worth the extra money. The picture below shows a mistake using the tape versus the liquid. Can you tell which is which?
I have an obsession with pens! I'm very particular about the pens I use. The fit is the most important feature for me. The three pens that I reviewed all had a different fit.
The Velocity Roller Ball Gel Pen
Atlantis Ballpoint Pen
BIC for Her
The Velocity Roller Ball Pen has an extra wide rubber grip and is easy to hold. The ink is a gel.
The Atlantis Ballpoint Pen has a soft grip and the ballpoint glides easily across the paper.
The Bic for Her Pen is so cute! It has a cute design, even on the rubber grip. It also comes in purple!
So, which one did I like the best... the Atlantis Ballpoint Pen! All three pens were comfortable and had a nice glide on paper but the Atlantis fit best in my hand. I'll definitely be doing future grading with this pen!!
Never heard of Shoplet. I will have to check it out!

Office supplies are the way to my heart! Best Valentines gift ever... not roses, NOPE! It was when my hubby gave me a super pack of every colored Sharpie ever made, it was HUGE! I squealed with delight! We were poor starving college students, I was student teaching, I had been eyeing that jumbo pack of Sharpie's every trip to Wal-mart for a month... dreaming of the anchor charts I could make! He paid attention! Haha.
